GTA IV PC information and screenshots revealed

We have finally gotten the first information on the upcoming PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV. The brand new info is from IGN's first look of the game at the Leipzig Games Convention.

GTA IV Release Announced for Japan

Rockstar Games has announced today that Grand Theft Auto IV will be releasing in Japan on - October 30, 2008. Here is the press release talking about the announcement:

"New York, NY – August 15, 2008 – Rockstar Games, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), announced today an October 30, 2008 release date for the localized Japanese version of Grand Theft Auto IV for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system.

Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto IV was released in North America and Europe on April 29, 2008, selling 3.6 million units on the first day of release, and 6 million units in the first week. Grand Theft Auto IV coming to the PC

Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto IV will release for the PC this Fall, November 18th for North America and Europe 3 days later on November 21st.

GTA IV Social Club - Millionaire's Club Launched

Rockstar Games has launched the "Millionaires Club" on their Social Club website. Getting into this club is based on the total amount of money earned in single player. (races, missions, side-jobs, etc.)

Stay tuned to another new aspect of the Social Club - "Viral Infection", a zombie feature.

GTA IV Coming soon on the PC?

The rumor of GTA IV on the PC has been floating around for quite a while, but we might of just seen the first possible confirmation of the highly wanted title. A foreign blog, lingaoyi, has revealed a picture that appears to be a PC Gamer Magazine July 2008 magazine with GTA IV on the cover and this intriguing tidbit:

"GRAND THEFT AUTO IV: NOW ON CONSOLE, SOON ON PC"

Keep in mind this is a foreign blog and it wouldn't be the first time (by a long shot) that a Grand Theft Auto picture was fabricated, but if so, it's a damn good one. In the meantime, let's hope for official confirmation so we can pre-order our copy!

GTA: Chinatown Wars - Revealed

With Grand Theft Auto IV released, the news has died down but don't think we're going away! Infact, with E3 came news of a brand new GTA game coming out called "Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars".

This new GTA game will be released exclusively for the Nintendo DS and will be available by the end of the year. Chinatown Wars has been confirmed to take place in actual modern-day Libery City (like IV!) and will use some of the DS technology, such as the touch screen and with the WiFi logo on the official site, some online content as well.

The new DS title is being developed by Rockstar Leeds, who made the other portable Grand Theft Auto Games, Liberty and Vice City Stories.

GTA IV Multiplayer patch released

Rockstar Games announced today the release of a patch that will fix issues in the multiplayer aspect of GTA IV, both PS3 and XBOX 360 versions. One of the most common problems was conectivity and freezing, both apparently fixed. Here's the full list of fixes:

GTA IV Downloadable content - Delayed

Rockstar has announced that the much-anticipated XBOX 360 exclusive downloadable content will not be available until the first quarter of 2009. Another words, don't expect the content until between November 1st, 2008 and January 31st, 2009.

Despite some let-downs, Grand Theft Auto IV has sold 8.5 million units since release on April 29. Now how about GTA IV: PC? Hopefully we will find that out soon for some good news.

GTA IV Multiplayer leaderboards now live

To say that Rockstar's Social Club website, specifically the GTA IV section, hasn't gone smoothly would be an understatement. However the long-awaited multiplayer leaderboards are now live.

To checkout the leaderboards, go to the Social Club Website and click onto GTA IV after logging in. Then simply click onto the Multiplayer badge, you will then see a heck of a lot of multiplayer info, filtering and sorting options.
