With Grand Theft Auto IV released, the news has died down but don't think we're going away! Infact, with E3 came news of a brand new GTA game coming out called "Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars".
This new GTA game will be released exclusively for the Nintendo DS and will be available by the end of the year. Chinatown Wars has been confirmed to take place in actual modern-day Libery City (like IV!) and will use some of the DS technology, such as the touch screen and with the WiFi logo on the official site, some online content as well.
The new DS title is being developed by Rockstar Leeds, who made the other portable Grand Theft Auto Games, Liberty and Vice City Stories.

Despite the drop in activity, GTA IV is far from being forgotten and still active. Infact, Gamesradar has posted a good read about "100 Little Things We Love About GTAIV". Be warned there may be spoilers:
"Even though GTA the quatro has only been out a few weeks, you’d think
we would’ve seen it all by now. But that kind of thinking is foolish!
Like you, we’re discovering astounding new details every day, and we’re
not talking major features like the new aiming system or the wacky shit
the colorful locals have to say. We’re focusing on all the small
touches that go into making Niko and Liberty City feel well-rounded and
three dimensional. And while some of these things aren’t “new” per se
to gaming, here are a bunch of things you may or may not have noticed
during your jaunt through LC. Enjoy."

Rockstar has announced that the much-anticipated XBOX 360 exclusive downloadable content will not be available until the first quarter of 2009. Another words, don't expect the content until between November 1st, 2008 and January 31st, 2009.
Despite some let-downs, Grand Theft Auto IV has sold 8.5 million units since release on April 29. Now how about GTA IV: PC? Hopefully we will find that out soon for some good news. |

To say that Rockstar's Social Club website, specifically the GTA IV section, hasn't gone smoothly would be an understatement. However the long-awaited multiplayer leaderboards are now live.
To checkout the leaderboards, go to the Social Club Website and click onto GTA IV after logging in. Then simply click onto the Multiplayer badge, you will then see a heck of a lot of multiplayer info, filtering and sorting options. |

With big game releases there are always many fan sites that pop-up, but we've encountered quite an interesting new GTA website. It's called "GTA Snapmap" and in a nutshell, lets you easily share a specific location in GTA IV with anyone. If you see something interesting in the masiveness of GTA IV, it's hard to share it with others.
With this new website, GTA SnapMap, you click on the map to pinpoint the location you want to share and you get BBCode and a URL to share with anyone.

A patch for PS3 users has finally been released, next time you load up GTA IV (while being on PSN), you will get a prompt to download the patch.
Many Playstation 3 users have complained about online issues, related to Gamespy's servers being overloaded. (shocked)
Rockstar Games has released a GTA IV patch for Playstation 3 today that
prevents GameSpy’s servers from being overloaded and therefore reduces
the impact on those servers that were causing the game to stutter and
lock up. We continue to monitor the performance of the game both on and
offline and will provide further updates as necessary. We want to
assure everyone that, together with our hardware partners, we continue
to strive to give our fans the best possible interactive entertainment
experiences possible. This update will ensure that everyone will
experience Grand Theft Auto IV the way it was intended. We apologize
for the inconvenience this has caused.
