It's been just two days since the release of the highly anticipated 360 exclusive DLC - The Lost and Damned, and so far so good!
With 23 reviews in TLAD is holding steady at a very impressive 90/100 over at Metacritic, an average 9.1/10 from 11 reviews at Gamestats and overall great reception from the fans.
We got our hands on the game back when it was available - Tuesday and we couldn't agree more with the general consensus so far. We'll be trying out multiplayer, it should run better since a few days have gone by and online won't be so incredibly crowded.
We'll have a review ourselves in the next day or two, but thus far it seems like it's easily worth the $20 - from the impressive storyline, new characters, new weapons and a lot more. Stay tuned. |

Months after one of the most anticipated game releases in quite a while, a still very anticipated PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV is now available for purchase. Along with, of course, any places that sells videogames you can also pick it up at Steam and Direct2Drive.
Here's tidbits from the release, Rockstar Games:
"Grand Theft Auto IV arrives for PC bringing with it everything that made the original release one of the most acclaimed videogame smash hits of all time... and adding stunningly detailed, high-res graphics optimized for the latest and greatest Personal Computers, 32-player multiplayer modes with Custom Match features, and the all-new custom mp3 radio station, Independence FM. Plus...
Exclusive to this PC release of Grand Theft Auto IV is the special Video Editor feature. At any time during gameplay, just hit F2 on your keyboard and the last 30-45 seconds (duration will vary based on your user settings and PC specifications) will be captured on your hard drive as raw footage. Then, load up the Video Editor (easily accessible through your in-game mobile phone) to edit away - with a suite of tools that can change the camera angle, audio, and speed - plus special effects to tweak colors, add filters, and more."
Checkout the offical Grand Theft Auto IV site or Rockstar Social Club for more information.

Rockstar Games revealed today that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto IV will be using SecuROM DRM software. They even release a Q&A of sorts explaining the usage of the anti-piracy software.
The bottom line is the boxed-game (which for example, you buy in the store) can be installed without any limit of the amount of PC's it's installed on, whereas Direct2Drive, Steam and others will have a limit of 5 PC's simultaneously and all versions must be activated once per installation before you can play.
More fun is 16GB worth of hard drive space that will be occupied by GTA 4 and other software. (directx, flash, internet explorer, games for windows live and .net framework) |

At long last the upcoming downloadable content for GTA 4 has been revealed, called "Lost and Damned". With the new DLC comes a new character to control, Johnny Klebitz, member of a Liberty City biker gang called "The Lost".
Lost and Damned is to be released February 17th, 2009 exclusively on the XBOX Live marketplace. You will of course need GTA 4 itself and an xbox live account, but no price is known yet.
With the new content comes new weapons, of course new characters, new missions, music, vehicles and even some new multiplayer modes! As for price speculations:
"Rudden hopes the episode costs $15 or less, but Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter expects a $20 price and says Rockstar could sell 2 million to 3 million downloads. "I see episodic content as a natural progression of the quality of downloadable content."

With GTA IV XBOX Live Weekend going on currently Rockstar has decided to up the ante with all Rockstar games being sold for half off via steam.
The Prices vary but we've seen the game that launched Grand Theft Auto to stardom, GTA III, for as little as $4.99 and the more recent San Andreas at $19.99.
Other titles that you can get at the great half of deal includes the previously mentioned GTA: San Andreas and GTA II as well as:
- Max Payne
- Max Payne 2
- Midnight Club 2
- GTA: Vice City
- Manhunt
- Grand Theft Auto (3x the price of GTA III?!)
- Grand Theft Auto 2 (ditto)
- Wild Metal
